Gear change

New to the forum.   I am located and south georgia and i am looking for a shop to install gears in my Dana 35.   There are not any 4x4 shops around here.    Can anyone recomend a quality shop to do a gear install and setup?   thanks

Welcome to the Forum. I know a couple of guys that can do the job but dont own shops. I'm sure there are some guys on here that will be able to refer a shop.

hmmm, don't know of anyone around there. Im in bainbridge. Tims Automotive over here will usually do a gear swap for $150 per axle. if his prices hasn't changed. It doesn't have to be a 4x4 shop to install gears, they all install pretty much the same way. Take it to your regular mechanic, see if they do it. its not all that hard, just time consuming and you need a few special tools.

What tippy said. Check with local transmission shops also.

Nationwide Transmissions here in Tallahassee can do it. Ask for Mike or Carlton. Mike has a bog truck and Carlton has a 2000hp+ Mustang, they know what they are doing and are great guys.
