Ask Lead Foot.  ;)

I've had Lead Foot's old 4 core radiator sitting on my back patio for over a year now...

Hell, it's been a year, he'll never miss it.  Probably full from where your dog's been stashing squirrel parts anyway.  Just bring it on down next time you drop by.

I can get that yota shroud that you have had for several years too.

Cause I was too lazy to come get it: )

If the bottom hose is collapsing then it is def restricting the water flow. I would start by replacing with a quality hose and flushing the system.

I would wager that takes care of the overheating issues unless you think you got it hot enough to pop a head gasket but it didn't sound like it to me.

I think Brett ended up with that.

I thought it came from Brett?  Either way the truck I (sorta)wanted it for is long gone.

How much for the radiator?

Cooling problem solved, bought and installed a new Radiator.  Just as cheap to buy a new one than to Rod out the old.  What a pain in the @ss to install with a the body lift though.

On the plus side...while I had everything off, it lit a fire under my butt to finish the Winch holder.

I'll update my build thread with more pics.

Why in all thats holy did you have to remove all that to replace a radiator?
My truck has a body lift and its just the shroud and then 4 bolts plus the hoses but not the grille and all that.

Each bolt had a drop down bracket on it too lower the radiator.  I don't know if they put it on wrong or not.  But they screwed the brackets on with the stock bolts.  Then stuck the bracket bolt through the core support and used a lock nut too hold it to it.  Couldn't get to those four lock nuts until I removed the the grill, couldn't figure out how to get the grill off until I removed the bumper.  It was aggravating, but The Natty's got me though it.  That make sense?

Makes sense except that they are morons for mounting it that way with bolts all the way through the support.
Sorry you had to go through all that.
Did replacing the lower hose not fix the problem or did you just go ahead and replace the radiator as well?

Just went ahead and replaced the radiator.  I did a pressure washing job Friday for $125, the radiator was $126.85 after tax.  So for two hours of work, I got a new one. :)

I'm glad you fixed your problem did you go with the larger one or the same size?
